Comments from Professional Mechanics & Our A&P Class Students!

Larry Zimmer   FAA Designated Mechanic Examiner, Ret. SMSGT USAF.
"I have known of Shelle Aviation's FAA Exam Preparation Courses since February of 1992. The measure of an Educational Program and it's credibility is the success of its Students. My personal observation of this A&P Course is that it definitely provides the Knowledge, Materials, and Skills required for that success."

The virtual/online classroom was adequate for the material presented, and the instructor's was very knowledgeable in all areas, answering any questions the students had. There was nothing that detracted from the overall learning experience. Great course! O&P prep instructions were most helpful. Our instructor used verbal presentation, and visual aids, and he was extremely able to provide the information and material necessary to help us students understand and comprehend, the very insightful and well organized course materials. I feel that this course does a great job of preparing people to take their exams, and gain the required knowledge and techniques to successfully complete the Oral and Practical. I would not make any changes to the class I took. The length of course time was not too much or little, and it was an excellent preparation. I enjoyed taking this class On-Line because it gave me the ability to not have to travel, so I saved money by not needing a hotel or to travel. Taking the online class saved me Up to $2000, I Highly Recommend it!

William Simmons, On-Line A&P Class, 5 years CH-46 crew chief/plane captain. 1805
Our instructor was very good at thoroughly explaining questions, and helping to understand formulas and equations in multiple different ways, using a very detailed approach, to let us know which areas we need to focus on more for the tests, and which areas we will need to know for the o&p portions.  I would like for some more of the questions shown on the slides to be included into the handouts given to us, to help give us a quicker reference, while studying the handouts. Very well taught, did not waste any time trying to get the material out. This was exactly the preparation I needed, I enjoyed taking this class On-Line, just wake up and take the class. No driving, no hassles. Taking the class online saved me Up to $2000 and I Very Highly Recommend it!

I like all the fully animated training aids of all the systems! Jake is an awesome instructor, explained everything clearly and referred to real life scenarios. Enjoyed the whole course, everything was explained in detail. Nothing was left unanswered, this approach will definitely help in the O and P.  This class was exactly the preparation I needed. Mike McKenzie, On-Line A&P, 7.5 yrs experience; 2yrs military F/A 18, F4, and 5.5yrs DOD C-17. 1803
Simple and direct presentation, with a great application to various scenarios. Course material was exact, it was descriptive, and step by step for problem solving on my own. Great use of technology to disseminate information to multiple students. I do not see any obvious need for changes to this course, this was exactly the preparation I needed to pass! This online class was time saving and very convenient for me, because I live in a very desolate area, and it saved me about $1000, so I highly recommend this course!

Dougan Laird, On-Line A&P, 5 yrs UH-60L Military experience, I mostly replaced and troubleshot parts, and performed main and tail rigs along with crewing the aircraft. 1803

I liked the presentation of the instructor. He broke it down to a level that was easy to understand for everyone, and we didn’t move on until we all understood. The instructor had multiple good ways to convey the course information. The course material was good because it covered the hard parts of the different subjects. This class was great, I passed all 3 written tests the FIRST TIME, my lowest score was 85%, while my friend went to a Different Company’s Course that was more than two times as expensive, and failed 4 of his written tests. I wouldn’t change the class I took, this On-Line Class was exactly the preparation I needed. I enjoyed that this is a “Big Boy Program”, you have to put in the time and dedication, to listen and study the material, and I also saved about $3000. Very Highly Recommended!

(Email from Dougan days after the class had ended.)
I forgot to put one of the most important things in my opinion on my critique and I hope this makes sense
... most classes have class time and then you go home and study either the test guide books that you have to buy, or the asa prepare apps. That isn't a horrible way to do it but Shelle has completely blown them out of the water, with how you have your study guide setup to where you’re studying the correct answers. The way Shelle Aviation has us study, incorporates the correct answers, and by doing that our heads aren't filled and confused with the wrong answers. Thank you for your time and dedication to what you do!

Jon Hakala, On-Line A&P, 30 months working on the job, at local maintenance facility, working small GA aircraft, singles and twins, and all systems. 1803

The instructor was able to explain complex items in an informative, easy to understand way. Pace was great. Instructor’s ability to convey the course material was Great! Jake obviously had a great understanding of the material, which makes it easy to break down simply for students. Exactly what I needed to get up-to-snuff on the exams. Filled in all of the blanks that my OTJ training and research didn't fill. My general comments / recommendations, Fantastic course, exactly what I needed! How would I change the course I took, there is nothing to change, Good time and material management. This On-Line Class provided me exactly the preparation I needed. By taking it On-Line I was able to attend without having to travel to a designated area. Very easy and stress free. I saved $4000 or more, I Very Highly Recommend Shelle!

(Email from Jon after the class had ended.)
Thank you so much for your course. It provided exactly the info and prep I needed to pass my writtens and O&P. Aside from a few questions on the Oral your study guide was pretty much spot on. I really appreciate all the work you put into the class and the guides. It was all very helpful, Thanks again!

The class presentation was “down to the business”! Our instructor was excellent at describing the course material to us, with training aids and descriptions. The course material was very through. My overall comments are that this is an excellent way to prep! I would make NO CHANGES to the course, this class provided me with an outstanding preparation for my exams. Taking class instruction On-Line, used my time on weekends, NOT on weekdays, not to mention saving me $2000, I Very Highly Recommend this class!

Mark Schoonover, On-Line A&P, 9 years Continental Airlines, now United Airlines Ramp Agent.  I went to A&P school and got my Certification, I just put getting my license off to long and thought I would need a refresher course. 1711
I was pretty impressed with class being conducted through the internet. 1st time for me. Jake Jacobs was a fantastic instructor. He was pretty thorough with the subjects and extremely knowledgeable. Very patient and answered every question that any of the students presented to him. He was very thorough with the material being presented and even while I was testing some of the class information stuck with me, which was a big benefit during the tests. it had been nearly 2 years since I studied any of this material, but with this class and it’s weekend classroom sessions, it seemed as if it had only been a couple of days ago. The handbook and CD was very helpful and very convenient to use at home and the Library. I really like the breakdown of the Material and the information at the end for the O&P, the way it was broken down to us" Barney Style" seems like it is going to make the O&P a lot more comfortable, to approach it with great preparation for it. I am glad that I made the decision to go forward with this program I think it's making it much easier for me to tackle the exams and get my A&P license. I wouldn't change the course at all, Jake is very Knowledgeable and handled the class perfectly. It was an outstanding preparation, and exactly the preparation I needed! The biggest benefits of taking the online class for me were, the comfort of being at home and being able to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat during breaks and return to class refreshed, plus I saved about $3000. I Very Highly Recommend this class!!

The instructor’s presentations were always unique and very helpful with explaining the necessary information. Very knowledgeable in all facets of the course material as well as knowing now to re-attack a question if not understood very well from both instructor and student. All course material was very descriptive and helpful in the learning process, did not waste time on any unnecessary information. Enjoyed the online class room environment and would recommend this course to anyone looking to further their aviation knowledge. The number one benefit for myself was passing all my tests, plus having the ability to create this learning environment right in the comfort of my own home, and saving about $2000 while doing so. I Very Highly Recommend this class, Thanks again Jake!

Our instructor was great, he really related to us as mechanics, and conveyed the information well, in an easy way to understand. The course materials were good, (I had used some other materials to study before the class but it was hard to comprehend some of the information.) but this class did a great job grouping the information together, so that it was much easier to comprehend. Exactly the prep I needed, I passed all of my exams, saved about $1000, I recommend it!

The class materials are perfect, usually covering everything that is presented in the test. I recommend this class to any military retire, very comfortable environment. I would not change the course I attended it is an excellent preparation. I saved up to $2000 and highly recommend this online class!

My instructor adapted to each students learning ability. Great course if you have some free weekends. Very beneficial. An excellent preparation, passed all my tests, saved $4000 or more, and I was able to sit on a couch in the comfort of my own home, as well as not having to travel hours a day or buying a hotel. I highly recommend it!!

The instructor was VERY thorough in explaining the material, and made it very easy to understand. The class was excellent overall! The instructor was very knowledgeable with an excellent presentation technique. I recommend adding an extra hour of class time per day (NOTE - In response to this and 1 other previous student's suggestion, Shelle Aviation added 1 additional hour of class time per day for On-Line Courses, 1.5 hours per day for On-Site Courses, beginning with our July 2017 Classes!). This is a very knowledgeable course and I highly recommend it!

Matt Smith, On-Line A&P, 5 years / Military / H-1 1703
The instructor was excellent, broke the information down and presented it in a logical order. Used tools in app well and presented parts over webcam to get a visual of a real parts. The material helped me to understand concepts that I previously struggled with. I wouldn’t change anything about the course I took. It was an easy transition from class to studying due to no commute, I saved about $1000 by taking it on-line and I highly recommend this class!

Iain  McElrath, On-Line A&P, Hill AFB, 5 years USAF Crew Chief / A-10, F-35. 1703
I highly recommend Shelle Aviation’s Course! The instructor was very knowledgeable and explained concepts well, describing subject material from the ground up. I enjoyed the visual teaching aids, it helped me comprehend and visualize concepts I have not previously had experience with, (i.e. Props, magnetos, generators etc). Because I was familiar with some subject material, some explanations weren't very interesting or "new" for me. However, the material that I didn't know (and the reason behind me taking this course, to learn it) were explained thoroughly and in a way I understood it. Helpful class, couldn't have passed my written tests without it!

Jeremy Dickey, On-Line A&P, 10 Years of  experience -- 8 years F-15 / F-16 / F-22, &  2 years on civilian private jets. 1703
The instructor had an excellent way of turning complex questions into simplistic explanations. The hands-on presentation technique with charts and arrows help the flow of information. The course material was clear and very helpful in all my studies. The ease and convenience of taking it online made it easy to follow along with the teacher, great hands-on with a webcam format. I don’t think the course needs any change. I saved about $1000 minimum, and highly recommend their classes!

It is a great review! The instructor was always prepared for the days material and was very informative. I wish they would extend the class days, make them longer! (NOTE - Shelle Aviation is adding 1 additional hour of class time per day for On-Line Courses, 1.5 hours per day for On-Site Courses, in direct response to this student suggestion). "I saved a lot of money taking it on-line! I checked on 2 or 3 other schools and they said 18 months to complete and $6700 on the average in costs, not counting gas and time. I highly recommend Shelle Aviation’s classes!"

Kavin Francois, On-Line A&P, 5 Years in Air Force on F-16.  Installing and removing hydraulic components, engines, flight controls with operational checks. 1701
The instructor conveyed the course material excellently. The presentation technique was very detailed and informative, including very helpful examples. The course materials provided were great, an excellent class! I would not change anything. The flexibility to receive the information in the comfort of my home was a big benefit of taking the online class, and I think doing so saved me $3000. I highly recommend Shelle Aviation's courses!

Shannon Watson, On-Line A&P, Started in 1999 fabricating STC PMA parts, I've worked on you name it up to 12500 lbs. and a few beyond, part 135, 91 and 141. 1611
The instructor was very articulate, and conveyed his knowledge in aircraft and the test materials very well. The class material was presented in a way that was easily understood, & any questions were accurately answered by the instructor. The only suggestion I have would be to highlight correct answers in the study materials, to aid in only studying the correct answer, I have a tendency to read everything, and by highlighting the material it helped me focus. (Shelle Comment: We have already implemented Shannon’s excellent suggestion!) The main benefit for me of taking the On-Line Class was not taking time off work, and I figured I also saved between $1200-1700, for extra costs associated with traveling, plus the loss of wages. I Highly Recommend this class!!

Edwin Colon, On-Line A&P, 5 years of experience working Marine Corps CH-53 Flight Line Operations 1609
The instructor had a really good ability at conveying the course material, and a good presentation technique. I will definitely be highly recommending these classes, and I think the on line class was better than an in person class would have been.

Timothy Morris, On-Line A&P, 9yrs experience working Avionics on C130’s, C5’s ,C17’s 1609
The instructor conveyed the information clearly and thoroughly, his presentation technique was inventive and made good points. The course material was very clear. I don’t think an On-Site Class would have prepared me better than the On-Line one did. A big benefit of taking this On-Line class was the wide range of knowledge that I got. I Highly Recommend it!

Brian Mansinon, On-Line A&P, Took a 14 Month long Formal FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Tech. School.  1609
Fantastic, my instructor Jake explains things in ways that are very easily understood, and the school goes over preparing you for the tests extremely well, whereas my original FAA Part 147 School did not even explain what to expect when going for your O and P exams. Great presentation technique, the course material is very well put together. I was very impressed with this organization. I would recommend this school to anyone that is getting ready for their Orals, Practicals, & Written exams, and I wouldn’t change anything about the class. Taking it online did not interfere with my current job, and although I’m not sure how much it saved me, it was definitely a ton of money. Highly Recommended!!

Russell Barrette, On-Line A&P, I previously attended an FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Tech. School.  1609
My instructor knew everything that was needed to know about taking the tests. The presentations were easy to follow, and the course material was very helpful. I don’t think an On-Site Class would have prepared me any better than the On-Line Class did. This class brought back a lot of what I learned in my FAA Part 147 School, and was everything I needed to remember the subjects. Taking it On-Line saved me about $4000. I Highly Recommend it!

Keith Kollasch, On-Line A&P, 20 years in USAF. 1609
The instructor’s ability to convey the course materials was excellent, his presentation technique was excellent, the course materials were also adequate! Although an onsite class might have been more regimented, giving me more confidence about passing, I’ve passed all the tests so far, and I think I should pass them all. I got to sleep in by taking the class online, plus I think I saved about $1K. I recommend it.

Trevor Sanders, On-Line A&P, 11 yrs maintaining military aircraft, (aircraft electrician in the navy, crew chief in the air force) 1605
The instructor was friendly and able to provide a wide variety of examples that I could relate to. The materials that were included seemed to be relevant and useful, I thought they were very helpful. It did get kind of hard to balance work, two other college courses and this A&P course, but I just needed to focus on one thing at a time. Some of the benefits I got from taking the On-Line Class were it didn't cost me as much. I think it saved me at least $2000.00 by not having to pay for travel, food or lodging, and because I could do it from home it made it easier for me to focus. I Highly Recommend this class!!

The entire class was excellent! The course materials were very enlightening; the instructor was engaging and informative. I wouldn't change the course at all. One of the benefits of this class was not just preparing me for the exams, but actually learning and understanding the material, and the processes of various systems/ components. I think taking the On-Line class saved me several thousand dollars! I will be highly recommending Shelle Aviation!
**Got my License today, took the class in May and passed my O&P in June**. When I emailed Shelle Aviation to let them know, they asked “Have you any additional thoughts or insight for the O&P that we might pass on to future students?” Yes, I do and here they are; “Don't stress about it. Study, study, study! Know the questions, and having a good understanding of the aircraft systems and components is always a good thing! My test was not as bad as I was expecting, but I do believe the study materials provided by Shelle Aviation had an immense help with what to expect! I can't say thanks enough! Thank you Mr. Jacobs and Shelle Aviation!!

My general comments/recommendations about the course – Excellent!
I wouldn't change anything about the class I took, and I don't think taking an onsite class would have prepared me any better, but I know that taking it online saved me a lot of money, and I like the convenience of being at home in my PJ's. I Highly Recommend Shelle Aviation’s online A&P Class!

Marlon Espinoza, On-Line A&P, 8yrs./F-15C/D/E Crew Chief. 1603
The instructor was very knowledgeable, the presentation provided very visual explanation of system theories. I don’t think an onsite class would have prepared me any better, and the online class probably saved me around $1500, I highly recommend this class.

Elijah Best, On-Line A&P, 5years F-16 Avionics Air Force. 1603
Very thorough, efficient, and explanatory. I would put more emphasis on the hydraulic section. An onsite class would not have prepared me better, and a big benefit of the online class was the flexibility, and I think I saved about $1000, I recommend this course.

The instructor explained everything in great detail, and was very helpful in getting me to understanding the information. The class presentation was very good and focused on key topics! The course materials are good and understandable! It was much more cost effective than going to an On-Site Class!, I probably saved about $2000.I highly Recommend it.

Excellent! Good use of pictures and relationships to everyday items, to explain the complex workings of components and systems. Some of the benefits I enjoyed taking this class was being at home and just wearing sweatpants and tee shirts for the class, I highly recommend it!

The instruction was clear, understandable, and easy to follow. It made me understand everything more clearly through great examples. I would greatly recommend this course to anyone! After going to an A&P school 10 yrs ago this was a great refresher. I actually was able to understand the materials clearly due to Jake's instruction. I wouldn't change a thing!!! One big benefit was the smaller class size, and better one-on-one explanations. I easily saved  $1000 by taking the online class, and I Highly Recommend it!!

Wesley Fetty,  On-Line A&P, 3 yrs HH60-G  1601
Conveyed the material very well, and made it easy to understand. The slideshow presentations showing component functionality worked great with the other class images to go along with them. Great materials and gets right to the information/knowledge that you need to know and be aware of. No need for any changes, at least I would not change it. And I did not have to take time off of work to go thru this class, plus I think it saved me over $2000 doing it online! Highly Recommended!!!

Fantastic! Instructor was well versed and extremely clear in conveying the information, his presentation technique was excellent, the course materials were very good, and easy to follow.  The benefits of taking this online for me was; Less cost, More flexibility, More flexibility with work, But still the same interaction as an in person class, and I think it saved me $2000-$3000. I highly recommend it!

Ross Fitzpatrick, On-Line A&P, 6 yrs / KC-10 / All Systems. 1510
The instructor was very thorough and made sure that all questions were answered. Good Presentation, visually pointed out the key elements and concepts in the reference material provided, easily translated all the figures, and reiterated the more difficult worded questions. Great class! I wouldn’t change the class at all. It was nice seeing the material explained rather than just in the books. Taking the online class saved me around $1500. Highly recommended!

Awesome instructor, very well versed & well-structured presentation. I don’t think an onsite class could have prepared me any better than the online class I took did. Plus it saved me about $2000, I didn't have to leave my office. I highly recommend it!

Rich Almeida, On-Line A&P, 5 yrs, Crew Chief on AH-1W and UH-1N helicopters.  1510
The instruction provided great insight, and conveyed the information clearly and precisely, which allowed me to understand the material. The instructor's presentation technique was very informative and in depth, as well as providing great visual references and drawings to help clear any confusion. The course material was excellent and provided all information needed to be successful. There is no aspect in the course which I would change. An Onsite class would have been more time consuming for me. The ability to take the class online is a better option due to time constraints. I enjoyed the small class size and the interaction between instructor and students. I probably saved at least over a thousand dollars, or more, in cost by taking this class online. I highly recommend this class!

M. "Bush" Bushardt, On-Line A&P, 13 yrs experience, 8.5 yrs on F-15 C/D/E models, and 4.5 yrs on A-10’s. 1510
The instructor made sure that everyone in the class understood everything we were going over before proceeding to the next area. Well done! For an online course it was phenomenal in fact it couldn’t have been done any better, even if we were in a physical classroom. Overall great class! Keep up the good instruction, that will keep bringing well taught people into the industry. One of the benefits of taking this online class is, since I am an auditory learner it was the best format for learning what I didn't know in regards to getting my license, plus it probably saved me least $3000, so I highly recommend it!

The Instructors ability to convey the course material, his presentation technique, and the course material itself were all great! I also think the course is great as is, I wouldn't change it. The On-Line Class gave me everything I needed, there was no need to find an On-Site Class. I saved $1000 or more and got to learn this in my area, I highly recommend it!

Josh Drought, On-Line A&P, 6 yrs USAF Crew Chief F-16's & A-10's, and 6 additional months FBO experience 1508
They made it very easy to comprehend all the essential information needed, in a way that was suitable for everyone in class. The presentation of all the information was very professional, clear, and to the point. I thought the course material was perfect for this class and provided all the essential information and details needed to make it a smooth process of obtaining my license.  I wouldn't change anything about this On-Line Class and I don't think taking an On-Site Class and sitting in a physical classroom would have benefited me any better. I enjoyed being able to attend class while still working full time and not having to take vacation time, and pay ridiculous amounts of money to travel and stay in a hotel. This class saved me at least $1200 in tuition, $1000 in travel and lodging, and another $500 in related expenses. I Highly recommend this class!
P.S. When I took my Oral & Practical I didn't have any problems, the class and all of the study materials for the O&P were right on topic. Shelle Aviation's On-Line Class is definitely the way to go! I said it before and I will again, I highly recommend them!

Troy Armstrong, On-Line A&P, 24 yrs Mil. Aviation A&P Duties. Currently working in Aircraft Demolition. 1508
The Instructor was able to convey meaning and operation of topics being discussed. Fantastic presentation abilities for conveying difficult meanings and concepts, particularly with aircraft drawings. Course materials are good, I have already recommended the course to others. I feel the course is good as it currently is. I am not sure a live course would be any better. I enjoy on-line courses as it saves travel time/expense, I'm sure I saved over $1000.00 by taking this online class, but did not price it out, but I highly recommend this course!!

Tyler Schmier, On-Line A&P, 6 yrs US Army UH-40 maintainer on A, L and M models. 1506
All information was very well put and easy to understand. Excellent blend of training aid, explanation, and real world examples that were easy to understand and a great reference for testing. Learning from home at my own pace was a big benefit. I only found other courses that were 12 month on site programs. The amount of time this On-Line Class saved me was invaluable. I Highly Recommend it!

Pedro Acevedo, On-Line A&P, 6 yrs experience in both Airframe & Powerplant on F-15 combat aircraft models A-D 1506
The instructor was superb at conveying the course material in a simple and understandable way. Very fluid in his manner of presenting the material and keeping the class moving at a comfortable pace. Also the use of props and comparative examples helped significantly with my understanding of the course material. The course material was rich, educational and was presented in a streamlined fashion making it easy to learn. Navigating through the handout and study materials was nicely complemented by the info presented during class time. Class was enjoyable, stress free and relaxing to take it form the convenience of my own home. I think it would be a great if there was a Shelle Aviation app for smart phones and tablets that still require internet connectivity but allowed for more variation in study methods of the required materials. I realize it would be a big investment for them but it would be a great enhancement to an already enjoyable a productive course. I really can't think of any major benefit to taking an onsite class, being home and not having to travel to a set location everyday was a big plus. Compared to other AMT Prep Schools I researched, this one saved me around $3000-$4000. I Highly Recommend Shelle Aviation's On-Line A&P Class!!

Rob Soto, On-Line A&P, 15 yrs on F-16's, & just recently move to F-35's. 1504
Very detailed explanations by the instructor on all of the course materials. They went above and beyond, using personal experiences and scenarios to ensure everyone had a full understanding of the required material. This course was greatly enhanced with the Online Classroom Interface. This class was amazing! The material was extreme, I would compare it to trying to drink from a fire hydrant, but coupled with the instructor’s explanations it was very understandable! Keep it as is. The online class made it very convenient, and saved me around $2000-$3000 by not having to pay for travel, lodging, meals, & tuition costs, so I highly recommend it!

Ryan Jones, On-Line A&P, 5 yrs experience KC-130F, R, J. Flight Mechanic/Crew Chief. 1504
Our instructor was a wealth of knowledge and very well spoken, his experience really helped to convey real world situations, and made it all very easy to understand. I wouldn’t change anything in the class, it was a great opportunity for me, and I don't think taking it onsite would have prepared me any better than the online class I took did. It is all based on self-motivation to complete the course. Another benefit of taking the class was meeting the other students and hearing how their experiences compared to mine. It saved me well over $1000 and I highly recommend this class!

Robert Dimapelis, On-Line A&P, 9 yrs Working F/A-18’s.  1504
Very knowledgeable instructor, precise and straight to the point. Good and informative course materials. The whole class instruction really gave me motivation to pursue my FAA license. I wouldn’t change the class, everything is good, especially having the full understanding about the questions on the tests. The ease of staying home and taking the class online was beneficial, and saved me a lot of money and time. I recommend this class highly!

Paul  Nelson, On-Line P/P, USAF for years, plus 15yrs on Spey Tay Jt15d Pt6 Repair test and inspect.  1504
I think the instructor’s ability to convey the class material was the best, and his presentation technique was excellent. The materials for the class were good and the instructor was very knowledgeable. I don’t think I would change anything about the course I attended. Between taking this class Online vs. Onsite, I would do the Online course hands down! I got to attend the whole thing in the environment of my own room, and saved around 2000 to 3000. I’m glad I took the class, and I highly recommend doing it online!

Dan Merritt, On-Line A&P, 6 years working on UH-60 A/L models. 1504
My class was very well thought out, the instructor had an excellent teaching technique that broke down the material in an easily understandable way. I don’t think an onsite class would have been more beneficial. This class was excellent, plus the ease of staying home, and saving probably around $3000 is why I highly recommend it!

I wouldn't change anything about the class I took! The instructor, as well as the class overall was very precise and understandable. I am going to recommend this to my co-workers. I was able to work and study without taking leave, and I think this On-Line Class saved me about $1000. I highly recommend it.

Destin Hinton, On-Line A&P, 16yrs, Military F16 crew chief 1411
The instructor was very knowledgeable about the content being taught, and very professional in delivering that content. The course material was adequate and helpful in testing to date. I take a lot of online blended live classes and prefer this type of class. I currently take classes full time through Embry Riddle and this type is best for my schedule. I had considered buying a self taught test prep course, but because I'm taking other classes full time I didn't feel I had the time to devote to studying on my own. Attending this course online saved me money and I highly recommend it! Thank you for the instruction, I really enjoyed the topics, much more so than the other classes I'm currently taking!

Jarrett Miner, On-Line A&P, 12yrs / F-16, MQ-1, MQ-9 / General systems 1411
Jake's level of knowledge allows him to address all topics thoroughly using a direct instructional technique, which drives the class through the material in a timely manner, yet he remains sensitive to each individual's understanding. I was presented with all of the study materials necessary to adequately prepare me for the tests. Having an experienced A&P professional walk you through all the subject areas in preparation for the exams is invaluable! I'm glad I didn't have to attend on-site, it gave me more flexibility in managing work/family-life balance. I highly recommend this class.

Reuben Magana, On-Line A&P, 30yrs / KC-135A, E, R model Hydraulic systems 1411
The class was very well presented, the instructor's presentation technique was very professional. Very good class and materials, I would not change it. Attending On-Line I got more home study time and it added economic value. I think I saved between $500-$1000, I highly recommend this class!

David Rodriguez, On-Line A&P, 8yrs on C-5's 1411
Descriptive but clear, the instructor used his personal experience as part of the presentation technique. The course material is very valuable as well as informative, providing ideas that I did not consider in the maintenance filed until now! The webcam approach made it as an on site course. One benefit of taking the class on-line was the ability to take the course at home and saved me time on travel, and approximately $3000 or more because I didn't have to lose time from my current occupation. I recommend this class.

Jon Ayala, On-Line A&P, 6yrs as a B1-B Mech 1411
Extremely Clear and Professional. Thorough and Concise. Perfect for my understanding! I certainly learned much more than I had bargained for, and I am much more confident and prepared moving forward. Jake is one easy going dude. All questions were answered carefully and accurately. I highly recommend this course at Shelle to any and all future mechanics! The way things are explained, I think both On-line & On-Site Classes must be equally beneficial. My knowledge has expanded and I feel a step ahead of my peers!

Jason Bell, On-Line A&P, 2yrs AMTS Trade School, and 2 1/2 in aerospace hydraulics at a Repair Facility 1409
Course material was very well conveyed, links were shared to any material data, and questions asked were explained in great detail. Very informative, gave real life examples and good descriptions of theories. The course material was exceptional, very well thought out and organized, I would not change anything. The online class was very convenient and saved me a lot of money, I highly recommend it!

Chase Maxwell, On-Line A/F, 10yrs on C-2A Powerplants 1409
Really good instructor technique. The course materials were very helpful I highly recommend this class and will refer friends to it. I would change nothing! I liked taking it online and not having to drive to far to sit in a class, plus it saved me $1000's.

Matthew Town, On-Line A&P, 10 Years Army Aviation 1409
Jake was an excellent instructor. Related all material to individual working knowledge and experience. To the point, very well structured and scheduled. Everything builds on itself from the beginning of the course to the end. I was shocked at how much content there is. I would have been lost without this course, no doubt. Keep up the good work. For guys like me, transitioning from the military, it's programs like this that will allow us to move onto new things. I wouldn't change a thing. Taking the class online affords the opportunity to apply the lessons on your own time and gives you the flexibility to get the testing done without putting your life on hold for 2 or 3 weeks. The Online class allowed me more flexibility, I didn't have to take time off work, I didn't have to travel, and I could take class in my PJ's, plus I saved roughly $2k I think, plus whatever I would have spent at the bar with other classmates, I highly recommend it.

Glenn Blair, On-Line A&P, 6yrs as F-16 Crew Chief 1409

Derek Walters, On-Line A&P, 20 Years CH-47 Chinook / Army / Hydraulic, Airframe, Electrical, Powerplant 1409
I did not have a good grasp on many subjects and our instructor was able to break the information down to a level which was easily understood. Carburetion and Magnetos were very informative. Still struggling on electrical but now have a good base in which to work with. I don't think the class would have been any different if taken in person. Online illustration was simple and easy to understand. Taking this class Online allows for flexibility of budgets or money constraints, and saved me time, travel and housing costs. I saved a lot of money, it would have been around $2400 for a class I had to travel to. Overall great class, I would recommend it.

Jeff Walters, On-Line A&P, 39Yrs. USAF/USCG Search & Rescue, also Manufacturing Management, & Part 145 Repair Sta. 1409
Outstanding! Outstanding! Just what I needed. Keeping doing what you are doing. I took the class Online, and I can't see how taking it Onsite would have made it any better. It was great doing it this way.Taking it Online allowed me to be at home even with the amount of hours I put in at work.

Caesari  Vallente, On-Line A&P, 14 Yrs Aviation, 9 Yrs USAF - F-16's, Hyd & Oxy Systems, 2 at FAA Part 147 A&P school 1407
I spent 9 yrs with USAF F-16 ejection systems, and augmenting other shops, 2 yrs at hydraulic repair stations, Hawker Pacific Aerospace and Eaton Corporation, 1 yr for Emergency Oxygen Systems Repair Station at Zodiac, &.2 years attending a FAA Part 147 school at North Valley Occupational Center- Aviation Center, Van Nuys Airport, CA.
The instructor in this class conveyed information well, he related information with common everyday use scenarios. Fast paced but ensured the information sticks in your head. Very effective! It focused on the questions I had trouble with while studying. When life got in the way after graduating from a part 147 school, this course gave me a good kick start, and refresher, on the material I had studied before. This On-Line Line Class saved me $2500 in Travel, Lodging, Meals, Tuition, etc. I Highly recommend this to graduates of a part 147 school that have been away from studying for a period of time. Also, would highly recommend to any military aviation personnel that are able to get authorization to test with their MOS.

Kyle  Cornelius, On-Line A&, 16 years F-16/A-10 avionics and engines 1407
Perfect for prior military and probably everyone else. The presentation was clear and concise, the lectures and slides/videos were quite effective, and the material was very effective in preparing us for the tests. I would not change a thing about this class, I learned everything from the comfort of my own home, and save in excess of $2000, by doing so! I highly recommend this class!

AJ (Andrew) Armstrong, On-Line A&P, 8 Yrs F/A 18's, Engines mostly, but also experience with airframe and electrical systems. 1407
Very impressive! Jake is very good at explaining things in a way that we could even understand subjects we had never encountered before The course and material was very well organized and very easy to follow,  it was great! I truly think that I would not have passed my tests if I would not have taken this course, I would not change the class at all. The operation and applications of the subject matter was explained in great detail. Being in the comfort of my own home was great, and not having to take time off of work and travel to the class  saved me thousands, I highly recommend this class!

I highly recommend this! A very knowledgeable instructor that used great examples to show relationships or point being shown. Great flow and great examples, I liked that all materials were consolidated in one volume, made it easy to follow, and it was greatly illustrated in the pics to go along with material, great class!

The instructor conveyed the course material in a way that it was easy for me to understand, he answered all of my questions and if I looked lost he took his time to explain the material. The course material was very helpful, I learned a lot from it, I would highly recommend this class! Don't change a thing. I don't see any difference in this On-Line Class compared to a On-Site Class, it provided all the material I needed and answered all my questions!

Derek Ryser, On-Line A&P, 17 years USAF F-16.  1402
There is no way I would have passed my 3 written A&P tests & O&P Exams without the 3 weekends spent prepping with Shelle Aviation and their syllabus! Although I have 17 yrs experience on F-16's, I learned a lot during those 3 weekends! I put in a lot of studying prior to each test at home, but the course more than paid for itself. I passed each test on my first attempt due to what they teach. I would recommend the online course to any military aircraft mechanic prior to taking the test. 17 yrs  experience on Military aircraft, and I would have failed every test without Shelle Aviation's Online A&P Course. It was a good class, I wouldn't change anything about it, it was just what I needed to prepare for the exams, and probably saved me at least $800 in cost by attending it On-Line, I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this class it is very professional and informative. I feel that the instructor provided the class with an abundance of information for gaining the A&P License. The course material is terrific and I don't think an On-Site Class would have been any better. I wouldn’t change anything about it, I didn't even have to leave home to attend it, which I think saved me a few thousand dollars in overall expenses.

The presentation technique was perfect, changing with each students questions and there level of understanding of the material, making the complicated material very easy to understand for all. The course material really helped out more than I thought it would, especially since I am a hands on learner. Thank you for providing the time and instruction required for me to obtain this information and experience, I would not change a thing about the course. The reason I highly recommend this course is because I learned the information and regulations required to obtain my A&P License and be able to enjoy working on aircraft when I transition to the civilian sector!

My Instructor, Jake, did a very good job he was able to describe the information verbally and then visually very well, very thorough. I am very pleased with the course material and professional way the instructor presented it. The course material followed the actual tests, at a point verbatim. Wouldn't change a thing, and I don't believe attending an On-Site Class would have prepared me any better than the On-Line Class did!, and being able to sit at home made things comfortable. I Highly Recommend this course!

They did a great job hitting the high points and explaining systems completely-- for example, I'll never forget how a vapor cycle cooling system works in it's entirety, good job! Clear pictures, good explanations, I think the material was covered very well. I think it was a good course and well worth the money. I'm very satisfied with what I've gained, this is actually more than I expected. We weren't just trained to pass the test, I feel I learned something as well and the Price was definitely a benefit. I also liked the structure. They kept me on task-- something I think I need, and I Highly Recommend them!
